lol thats stupid you take it to the apple store not buy a new ipod. Repair costs less then the ipod itself. Plus when you get the one year warranty that comes with your itouch.

If you got it into restore mode than you can restore it using iTunes. You wont lose appstore or the apps you bought. You will lose your things you did with it jailbroken but that is better than paying for a new ipod.
